1st round match at the Rotterdam Open between German player Philip Kohlschreiber and Lucas Pouille. It is the first meeting between the two players.

Pouille had to withdraw at the beginning of the year in Brisbanne because of a foot injury. He decided to stop playing for a few weeks focusing on his recovery.
Unfortunately, he coudl not compete at 100% of his capacities in Rotterdam against Kohlschreiber and lost in straight sets.
