ERSTE BANK OPEN 23-29 October 2017 Lucas won his first ATP 500 title this week in Vienna. He defeated Offner and Garcia Lopez in straight sets in the first rounds. Very solid, he also won quite easily his match against Richard Gasquet in the 1/4 finals. In the 1/2 finals, he had a very tough match against Kyle Edmund during which he had to come back from a set down. In the final he was impressive to overpower his good friend and n°1 player in France Jo Tsonga. Lucas played very consistently during the all week showing everyone he is more than ready for the Rolex Paris Masters and the Davis Cup Final coming up. He is now ranked 18 in the world.
